TENCEL™ LUXE, the new favorite of eco couture brands, has been featured in the Viktor&Rolf Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2022 collection, created by fashion artists Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren.
The “Surreal Shoulder” collection, the brand’s first couture collection featuring usage of TENCEL™ LUXE filament, is inspired by the glamorous allure of old Hollywood Dracula movies, featuring distinctive exaggerated, high shoulderline, and distorted, elongated silhouette.
A wide variety of dresses are also featured, ranging from billowy sheaths to sculptural ballgowns. The fabrics are either crisp or gauzy, but always compact to support the architectural shapes. Colours are muted, playing on contrasts of dark and light, with some delicate pastels, chalk white and the occasional pop of cerise red.
“2021 has been a year of opportunities for TENCEL™ LUXE, where we had seen more brands and designers opting to use fabrics made of TENCEL™ LUXE in their collections. 2022 will continue to be an exciting year for us, as we gear up for more collaborations with brands and designers with a pursuit for quality and sustainable luxury,” said Mariam Tania, Global Brand Manager for TENCEL™ LUXE.
Derived from renewable wood sources in a closed loop process, TENCEL™ LUXE branded lyocell filament yarn defines the landscape of luxury fashion with its silky smoothness, liquid-like drape and color vibrancy. Supremely smooth to the touch, fabrics containing TENCEL™ LUXE filaments drape beautifully while expanding the frontiers of aesthetic appeal with natural comfort. Fashioned to be astoundingly versatile, TENCEL™ LUXE filaments blend superbly with other noble fibers such as silk, cashmere or wool
