To increase awareness about climate change, the TENCEL™ brand will be rolling out a series of activities in line with Earth Month. Building upon the previous year’s initiatives, the campaign seeks to educate consumers on making smart fashion purchases. Throughout Earth Month, the TENCEL™ brand will launch initiatives across various regions to inspire consumers to join in the eco-responsible movement, garner greater public awareness around sustainability, which hopefully will bring more positive impact to the society and the planet.
Each year, Earth Month brings environmental education and discussions of climate change to the center stage. As concern on the climate crisis grows every day, it’s imperative for both people and corporations alike to take swift actions. As a leading sustainable fiber producer, TENCEL™ has worked throughout the past three decades to mitigate the harmful impacts in the fashion industry. To mobilize the wider consumer audience, TENCEL™ will team up with brands, designers and influencers for a series of month-long activities. Part of this year’s activities will include the collaboration with 23 Chinese brand partners such as EIFINI, ONLY, Luolai and Aimer Kids to launch products for the ready-to-wear, denim, home and kids segments featuring carbon-zero TENCEL™ branded fibers. In Indonesia, TENCEL™ will carry out educational programs with three local sustainable living nonprofits – Sustanation, Demi Bumi and Zerowaste ID – to highlight the benefits of upcycling and the differences between natural and synthetic fibers. Additionally, fashion brands and influencers across Southeast Asia will also participate and become advocates for TENCEL™ to drive greater sustainability awareness and spark more conversations with consumers.
Throughout April, consumers will be encouraged to reflect on their own sustainably minded choices that positively impact their lives and the planet. The TENCEL™ brand is hoping this year even more people will share the positive things that are happening around them that will lead to a better and more sustainable future.
