With sustainability on the minds of more consumers, home design has quickly evolved to encompass ethical and eco-responsible materials and manufacturing. To discuss this quickly transforming landscape, TENCEL™ was proud to sponsor Hearst’s second annual Future of Eco-Conscious Living Summit this past Spring, successfully bringing together leading experts and innovations in the home and living spaces in a two-hour virtual event.
A key highlight of the summit was "The Future of the Sustainable Home: Sustainable Materials as a Path Forward and in the Home” panel discussion, featuring Walter Bridgham, Lenzing's Sr. Business Development Manager in North America, among Jamiee Seabury, VP Business Development and Strategy at Williams-Sonoma Inc and Laurence Carr, Founder and Desinger of Laurence Carr Inc. Exploring the importance of sustainable solutions for the segment, the panelists looked at how TENCEL™, Lenzing’s flagship brand for textiles, is a leader in sustainable fibers. They also discussed how the brand has expanded its presence in the home segment, working with well-known and valued brand partners like William Sonoma, Inc. and their brands Pottery Barn and West Elm to provide sustainable products that are accessible to consumers.
“Partnering with Hearst for their second annual Future of Eco-Conscious Living summit was an honor for TENCEL™. The summit provided an opportunity to showcase TENCEL™'s sustainability story within the home segment and how it lives through its brand partners' products. Telling this story through the lens of raw material provider to brand to designer was a powerful way to educate consumers and industry leaders on the importance of sustainability in the home and living spaces,” says Regional Marketing Manager, Tori Piscatelli.
The summit also featured an experiential hub and comprehensive resource tool for design education, inspiration, content, and more from the world's leading experts, editors, and educators, made available year-round as a valuable resource for those interested in sustainability within the home and living spaces, which is available year-round.
In conclusion, the Future of Eco-Conscious Living Annual Summit, sponsored by TENCEL™, was a resounding success this year. The summit's focus on sustainable design and innovation within the home and living spaces, as well as the valuable resources available through the experiential hub and comprehensive resource tool, made it a must-watch event for anyone interested in making their home more sustainable.
