Specifications Spruce log wood
Spruce log wod is long and short wood of the varietes spruce and fir. It is stripped, chipped and converted to pulp.
Specifications:
Quality
- Healthy, practically no red-striped wood (max 10% of delivery tolerated)
- Saw-cut at both ends
- Properly debranched (no branch stubs)
- Practically straight
- No forks
- Long logs: 2 - 6 meters
- Short logs: 1 meter (only in exceptional cases)
- Minimum diameter with bark 10 cm (max. 10 % of 8 cm and 9 cm collateral)
- Maximum diameter: 80 cm
- Free from metal and stone
TOLERANCE AND REJECTION LIMITS
For deviations from quality and dimension as defined by the Lenzing specifications for industrial coniferous wood wood the following regulations apply:
Red-striped wood
Tolerated up to 10%. Proportional deduction of EUR 15 per ton absolutely dry with bark for 10% and above.
Hard brown rot
No tolerance limit. Proportional deduction of EUR 15 per ton absolutely dry with bark. 80% and more, rejection of delivery.
Soft rot
Deduction as reject (ballast). 80% and more, rejection of delivery.
Deficient form
Forks, broken wood and branch stubs cause poor stripping, technical problems and loss. Tolerance limit 5%. 6% and above, deduction of EUR 15 per ton absolutely dry with bark.
Thinning material
Cannot be processed for technical reasons. Deduction as reject (ballast). 20% and more, rejection of delivery.
Non-specified wood
All varieties except spruce and fir. Any other varieties will be separated out and not paid for. 20% and more, rejection of delivery.
Manipulation logs
Logs exceeding a diameter of 80 cm require manipulation and splitting. Deduction of EUR 15 per ton absolutely dry with bark for sorting out and splitting.
