New construction hall for Lenzing Technik

Lenzing Technik continues to expand. A new construction hall is to extend mechanical engineering facilities, following the construction of the new high-tech sheet metal facility last year.
The new production site will be located at Pichlwangerstrasse in Lenzing, between companies Jodl and Lenzing Sheet Metal Technology. Construction activity will start in the summer of 2008 and start-up of production is scheduled for January 2009.

The projected production area of about 17.200 sq. ft. will provide jobs for fifty people. Lenzing Technik is already looking for staff for engineering and apparatus engineering, in particular for metalworkers and welders.

 "The extension of production capacity for division Mechanical Construction and Industrial Services is a logical consequence of Lenzing Technik’s expansion strategy", says Helmut Aigner, general manager of Lenzing Technik. "The primary purpose of the extension is to create more production area, in the medium term especially for engineering and container construction."

Mechanical Construction and Industrial Services is the division with the highest sales within Lenzing Technik. It provides services for the Lenzing Group and business with external customers has been growing rapidly in recent years.

The division provides construction services, such as tank construction, apparatus engineering and equipment engineering, piping, plastics processing, maintenance and repair services, as well as surface protection and treatment against surface deterioration. The size of the product group with more than 330 employees enables fast and flexible response to the variety of project dimensions and customer requirements.
 
Coordination with the other divisions in engineering, project management and automation, makes Lenzing Technik a very successful turnkey supplier and general contractor.
