Lenzing Group will increase fiber prices at start of QU1/06
18.11.2005
The Lenzing Group, world leader in the production of man-made cellulose fibers, will increase fiber prices by at least five percent at the beginning of the first quarter 2006.
The exact price increases will depend on the fiber type. The new prices apply to textile and nonwoven fibers.
This further rise of fiber prices is necessary due to the steady price increase of raw materials and rising energy costs at all Lenzing production sites during the past weeks. The exorbitant hike of costs for raw materials and energy cannot be compensated by the price increases that are being implemented by Lenzing in the fourth quarter 2005 so that this further fiber price increase is necessary.
