Lenzing Group - New Organisational Structure for Lenzing Group Board
07.12.1998
The Supervisory Board of Lenzing today approved a new organisational structure for Lenzing Group, under which the business will be consolidated into two major areas of responsibility. With effect from 1 January 1999, all pulp and fibre activities will be brought together under the management of Jochen Werz.
Franz Raninger, who is head of the Fibres division with responsibility for the marketing and sales of Lyocell, will be his deputy on the Board. Paper, films and engineering (Lenzing Technik), along with finance, administration, human resources and corporate activities will be bought together under the control of Peter Untersperger. Since 1994, Mr Untersperger has been on the Board of SPV, Lenzing’s Indonesian joint venture, and became its General Director in mid-1998. His deputy on the Board will be Christian Reisinger, head of Lenzing Technik.
Martin Lenz, who has been Speaker of the Lenzing Board since April 1998, has today resigned his Board position, with the mutual consent of the Supervisory Board, because of differences in opinion regarding the operational management of Lenzing’s business.
Leopold Fermüller and Ludwig Promberger will retire from the Board by rotation and will remain as consultants to the Company.
The new Management Board will now focus on a detailed plan for the new organisational structure with the intention of presenting it for approval at the next Supervisory Board meeting in Spring 1999.
