Lenzing AG Strongly Rejects Purported Need for a Profit Warning:

All-Time Record Results Achieved for Fiscal 2000 And Similarly Good Development Expected for 2001
The Managing Board of Lenzing AG wishes to state that an opinion circulated by the media is entirely unfounded, namely that Lenzing AG is expected to issue a profit warning. For fiscal 2000, the company from Upper Austria will be able to report an all-time record for its results, as was announced previously. Results will also be, at least, within the dimensions forecast by analysts. From today's perspective, 2001 will bring a similarly good development as the record-setting year 2000.
The precise date when the preliminary results for fiscal 2000 will be disclosed is to be announced shortly.
