The home textile sector is one of the most innovative industrial sectors and is predestined for TENCEL®, especially for bed wear. Through its perfect moisture management, TENCEL® provides unique properties for comforters and bed sheets. TENCEL® can be named as the new and natural high-performance fiber. Incorporated nanofibrils are responsible for this. These are hydrophilic and guarantee the optimum absorption of moisture with excellent cooling properties. If one compares the moisture absorption of TENCEL® with other fibers, it becomes clear that this is quite unique. As a result of the ability to store moisture in the fiber itself, the skin remains dry during the night which creates optimum temperature conditions. This property is also responsible for the fact that the growth of bacteria is inhibited. The reason for this is once again the moisture absorption of TENCEL®. The latter prevents the formation of a film of moisture in the comforter, which puts a stop to bacterial growth inside the comforter. One further advantage of TENCEL® in bed sheets when sleeping is the fiber structure itself. It is particularly smooth and prevents irritations of the skin.
Lenzing Fiber Movement, 8.12.2005 in Tokyo
To present all of the properties of Lenzing Fibers and to help understand them in an easy way, Lenzing established the concept of the Fiber Movement. The Lenzing Fiber Movement is a unique show. The show does not feature fashion but rather pays tribute to Lenzing Fibers. Lenzing Modal®, TENCEL® and Lenzing Viscose® are brought to life on the stage by means of a dance performance. In a new and unconventional way, dancers symbolize the applications and properties of Lenzing fibers.

The Fiber Show Lenzing Fiber Movement was presented in Paris on the occasion of the fabric fairs Texworld and Première Vision for the very first time and is currently on tour in Asia. After Mumbai, Teipai, Shanghai and Seoul, it is now on in Tokyo. The international show group CAPAC is performing this dance show exclusively for Lenzing.
